Physical Therapist

Dr. Jesus Martinez received his B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in 2017 and received his Doctor in Physical Therapy from Texas Woman’s University in Houston in 2020. Dr. Martinez continued to broaden his area of expertise by obtaining his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification as well as his Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator certification. Recently, Dr. Martinez finished his Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency in 2021 and passed the OCS boards to become an Orthopedic Certified Specialist.

From 2020-2022, Dr. Martinez has worked in a out-patient clinic where he helped people with physical injuries and disorders to avoid excessive use of medications, injections or surgeries. He also worked to educate his community through free health promotion events hosted by Fort Bend Master’s Swimming Club, YMCA, and Richmond Fire Department. These events helped educate and bring awareness to injury prevention, sleep hygiene, chronic pain, and nutrition habits.

Dr. Martinez is currently working as an Army Physical Therapist working first hand with today's soldiers. Dr. Martinez and his wife, Alexis, raise two kids and live locally here in Fort Meade, MD. Besides his love for physical therapy, he also enjoys a very active life of running, cycling, basketball, working out, and participating in distance races without the limitations of physical pain. He hopes you will begin your journey to recover from whatever pain you may have by understanding what is causing your pain and breaking free from your self-limiting thoughts and myths.
